07/13/09:  After 2 weeks of rests, the fishing didn’t seem to get better for many!  Yes, even half of the teams in the top 10 last week didn’t catch the limits!  Some fell off of the top 10 because of it.  But if you hang in there and keep trying, you can come out on top one of these days.  And that’s exact what the winning team this week did.  Rick Shoupe and Don Tunget team caught 5 nice bass totaled 12.65 lbs to win it.  They beat out everyone on a tough night.  The second place was less than 9 lbs, almost 4 lbs behind them.  Rick & Don now placed themselves above suck-line!  Yes, they are now in the top 25 – jumped from 32nd place the week before.  They also won the very nice side-pot of the week.  Great job guys.  Congratulations.  There are 6 more regular tournaments before the classic.  Get on the horn people.  We should have the classic dates soon.

And, another example of why you should just hang in there and keep fishing/trying.  Jeff Stanley and Albert Hilburn brought in only 2 fish.  But one of them was a beautiful 5.14 lbs spot!  So they won big bass of the night.  Yes, you too can win some money with just one or 2 fish!  Good job guys.  Congratulations.
