  05/19/08: It was generally a tough night for most teams.  Even some top teams on the standing got zeroed!  We are 1/3 of a way into the season already.  And a few teams have already found their ways to SuxVille, GA.  If you are not careful, you'll be on that path too!  But it must have been the night of business owners.  A couple of business owner teams won first place and big bass!  Kevin Kelley (owner of Kelley Shutters,Inc.) & Mike Chastain team won first place and the infamous side-bet pot with a 10.08 lbs sack.  This put over $1K in their pockets for just 4 hours of pure fun.  Not too shabby huh.  If they'd won big bass too it would have been a huge jackpot.  Great job ya'll. But the team that won big bass was the team of Marshall Green (owner of Capital Fabrication) & Keith Blalock.  They may have caught only 3 fish but one of the was the one that counted.  It was a 4.41 pounder!  Congratulations guys. We also paid out Big Sack for the month to the team of Bob Halderman & John Holtman who had a 12.81 bag a week ago. That's an additional $100!  The smallest sack of May was the team of SuxVille's Angler (Hybrids 'R Us) and BigAl (Crappie 'R Us).  But they didn't fish the tournament last night and were not present at the time the award was giving out.  So, the sux team missed out the $50 award.  Rumors had it that one of the team member went out and play last night and had a huge sack of bass while catching gazillion of whites & hybrids!  Too dang bad.  lol   And so the directors tried 3 other teams but they all had left for the evening.  The directors then had to decide to put that $50 into the classic fund.  And that's good for the rest of the field. A REMINDER do not be late or you will be D/Q as we had a team that was late this week.  And be mindful of all other rules - no wake zone, courtesy, safety, etc. etc.  And also remember, a random polygraph test can be administered anytime without notice! We will pick this fun filled tourney back up on June 2nd.  Have a safe and happy Memorial day.   And here's a quick comparison of the first 6 weeks.  12 more to go plus the classic.
