7/26/10: Call them crazy, but 40 teams showed up to fish this week despite the storms. As the time for blast off neared, Jeff and Jamey talked with the anglers at the ramp, and consulted with the weather man, and the decision was made to fish. The heavy rains and severe lightning put everyone on edge, and for awhile it looked like our fearless leaders may have to cancel the tournament. However, just before blast off the lightning started to pass, and the rain quit. Around 7:30 the storm moved on, and it was a beautiful night.

The team of Daniel & Donnie Thurman should be glad they showed up to fish. They ended up taking frist place with an impressive 13.06lbs, besting the second place team of David Koski & Kevin Smith by 1/10 lb. David & Kevin did managed to take big fish though, with a monster 6.61lb largemouth! All in all, the fish really seemed to be biting, with 9 teams weighing in 8lb or more of fish!
